Duke of Devonshire Charitable Trust & JPK Project April 2018

The JPK Project are delighted to announce the support of the Duke of Devonshire and were thrilled to receive a £5,000 donation from the Duke of Devonshire’s Charitable Trust.

The donation will assist the completion of one of the first 3-bed apartments within the Supported Living Centre at the JPK Project. These will provide much-needed accommodation for people with a learning disability currently living in Eastbourne and the surrounding area.

Jill commented, “We are honoured to receive the Duke’s support and this donation will certainly make a difference in our ability to commence this important residential provision at the JPK Project. We are now contacting grant making trusts who have shown an interest but firstly wished us to have some further progress. I believe this will be the ‘stepping stone’ to future development.

“We very much look forward to welcoming the Duke when he next visits Eastbourne and extend our sincere gratitude.”

The Duke has been kept appraised of the progress to commission the Community Training Centre at the JPK Project via Tom Richardson, the Duke’s Eastbourne Estate Manager.

Bluebell Walk 2018 The JPK Project Team

We raised a fabulous £2,321.08 at the 2018 Bluebell Walk and send out a heartfelt thank you to all the volunteers and supporters who served, supplied and visited us to make this possible.

On behalf of everyone at the JPK Project, we’d also like to pay particular thanks to John, Carolyn and Phillipa at Bates Green Farm, who gave us the two days and a generous donation of £1,100 from their Gate Money Fund.

John and Carolyn have been undertaking these fundraising events since 1979, opening their grounds and premises to hundreds of charities to fundraise. We might have felt slightly jaded after our two days, but can you image what it might be like for them – undertaking all the preparations and managing the site for many weeks with a successful of charities? You are special people.

Our very grateful thanks to everyone. You have all made a difference.
