The Old Town Café is open …

During the last few months, we have been working hard to rearrange the former JPK ‘Palm Court Tea Room, baking centre and training facilities, to ensure all the new health and safety hygiene requirements are met and that the correct social distancing measures are in place. In following government advice, we are putting the safety and wellbeing of our customers and staff first and kindly request you follow the appropriate guidelines.

The Old Town Café will be run by our volunteers and a skeleton team initially. We are pleased to announce that we will be taking our students back at the café on work placements, in limited numbers, with our lovely volunteers providing one to one mentoring. We hope to eventually take back some of our employed staff, once the current situation improves and our student training centre can reopen.

Located in the heart of Eastbournes Old Town, not far from the town centre, our spacious cafe provides a friendly and relaxing atmosphere with free wifi. Our lovely volunteers and staff extend a warm welcome to everyone and serve the following:

HOMEMADE CAKES

TEAS & COFFEES

LUNCHES

SUNDAY ROASTS

For our very elderly and less abled guests, the Old Town Café has disabled facilities with automatic entrance doors and level access for people using a wheelchair. We are happy to provide a highchair for little visitors and we welcome well-behaved canine guests too. 🙂

Katie & Patrick’s homemade preserves will also be on sale, as well as our wonderful handcrafted cards. We will once again be taking any unwanted gifts and/or donated items for our Daisy Chain gift shop, to support the JPK Project, which can be handed in at our entrance desk.

How to Find Us

The Old Town Café is located near St. Marys Church in Old Town, on the opposite side of the road. We have plenty of free off-street parking for visitors in our sloped car park for those travelling by car. We are also on a bus route with the Brighton Coaster 12 & 12X and the Stagecoach no 1 passing right by our doors.

The Old Town Café and training center is an exciting step towards our longer term plans to create our supported living accommodation at the JPK Project in Old Town, Eastbourne.

All profitable proceeds from The Old Town Café go directly to support the JPK Project.
